Q:
I bought WEng 3 licence. I got email with a licence.lic file as an attachment. Now what?

A:
If you haven't already done so, please download and install latest WEng 3 from here http://www.wasp.dk/Download/Software/WEng3_Installation
After installation start WEng 3 go to Help->Licencing. In the dialog click "Register..." - button, select your licence.lic file. After a while you should see a message saying that your copy of WEng 3 is successfully registered. Close the dialog and you're done. See the Licensing Guide for details.

Q: I got an error saying that WMI is missing and I can't register my licence because of that. What should I do?

A: This is a known problem which might happen on computers that are part of a corporate network. Problem is that your user account does not have enough permissions to query WMI service. WEng licencing system is using WMI to query different hardware IDs from your machine to make the licence unique for you. No personal information is collected.

At the moment you need to contact your IT-deparment in order to solve this issue. They should be able to give permission for your account to query WMI. In the future we might be able to issue an update which will workaround this problem.

Q:
I can't register my WEng 3 licence. It says something about not being able to authenticate with a proxy server. What should I do?

A: So you're using a proxy server with authentication enabled. If you don't know your login credentials for the proxy, please ask them from your IT-department.
Go to C:\Program Files\WAsP\Bin\ folder and create a file there called "proxy.txt". Open the created file with Notepad and in the first line of the file type your credentials in following format: username:password. Save the file and try registering your licence again.

The file proxy.txt must not contain any other text and the credentials must be in the first line. Username and password must be separate with ":" - character(without quotes). Here's an example of the file content:

myproxyusername:myproxypassword
